Jenison1930 Lincoln seemed like the right car for Jenison couple's cross-country trip

The silver greyhound hood ornament on the classic 1930 Lincoln led the way for the DeJongs' trip along the Lincoln Highway. Six years ago, when Jenison resident Bart DeJong was 66 years old, he restored a 1966 Mustang and drove it the length of U.S. Route 66. He and his wife Ellen, 64 at the time, had a memorable trip, despite the reduced comfort level Americans have come to expect while traveling.
