Pet adoption events sponsored by FIDO Friendly Magazine and the Petco Foundation will take place at three locations in Oklahoma: It's the magazine's ninth annual pet adoption tour, "Get Your Licks on Route 66." In the first eight years, the tour helped place more than 9,000 pets in forever homes, said Susan Sims, publisher. Each year the tour goes from Los Angeles to Chicago, stopping at animal shelters along the way to support adoption events and to raise money for the shelters, Sims said.
