Seven months after paving for the way for the demolition of a historic run-down Route 66 hotel, city staff are still emptying their pockets to find a way to pay for the $1 million project. Amarillo City Council members unanimously approved tearing down the Inn of Amarillo with little conversation about how they'd pay for the demolition.
