While the nearly 1,500-foot-long Colorado Street Bridge once marked the last leg of famed Route 66, it has also attracted attention as the spot where more than 150 people have ended their lives by jumping. The bulk of suicides reported at the 97-year-old bridge are believed to have occurred during the Great Depression.
