A procession of military vehicles will depart from the DuPage County Fairgrounds next Saturday for a cross-country convoy on Route 66. In 2015, the group of collectors made a similar trek on the Bankhead Highway, shown here. Brad Nelson, with his wife Nancy on a convoy along the Alaska Highway in 2012, is organizing the Illinois-to-Missouri leg of the Route 66 journey.
